How do I bid on an item?
To bid online, you will first need to register. The Post-A-Bid online registration form must be completed. Once your registration has been approved, you can use the username and password for all online auctions on our site.

Does the buyer have to pay any fees on top of the closing bid?
There is no fee for bidding on auction items, however, there will be a buyer's premium of 10% (Ten Percent) which shall be added to the highest bid for the auction item. The TOTAL of the highest bid PLUS the Buyer's Premium shall constitute the Contract Sale Price. [EXAMPLE: High Bid $100.00 + 10% Buyer's Premium of $10.00 = CONTRACT SALES PRICE of $110.00 + TAX]

How do I pay for the items i've won?
If you are a winning bidder, please wait until you receive your emailed invoice and follow the instructions as listed in the terms and conditions.

Who should cashier's checks be made payable to?
Please read the terms and conditions in the auction listing; most are made payable to Elsenpeter Auctions & Real Estate.

How much do things sell for?
There is no answer to this question. Sale price depends on the merchandise (car, truck, equipment, jewelry, etc...). Such things as condition, appeal and uniqueness all play a part. Also, the prices bid depend on how badly two people at an auction want an item.

Are Non-Residents allowed to bid at your auctions?
As long as you have a government issued id for registration and a valid US address for shipping, you can bid on our auctions.

Is shipping available for items purchased at auction?
Buyer shall arrange with Post-A-Bid or a third-party of Buyer's selection to have items picked up or shipped by the date and time identified for removal on the specific auction site. At Buyer's request, Post-A-Bid will box smaller items and ship them to Buyer via United States Postal Service. If Buyer requests that Post-A-Bid box smaller items, Buyer shall pay to Post-A-Bid, along with the purchase price, buyer's premium and sales tax if applicable, a $15.00 per box charge for boxes up to 18x18x18 inches, plus the actual cost of shipping charges. The per box charge for odd shapes and boxes larger than 18x18x18 inches shall be determined on a case by case basis and included in the invoice to Buyer.

Is there a warranty for any items purchased at an auction?
All items are SOLD "As Is, Where Is," with NO warranties, express or implied. Illustrations, pictures or videos posted on Post-A-Bid's website are for identification purposes only and are not warranties of any type. Buyer assumes complete and sole responsibility for inspection of items prior to bidding and relies solely on its own inspection as to the condition and value of items. Buyer waives and all claims against Post-A-Bid and seller based on the condition or value of items.

Is there a minimum bid price on auction merchandise?
There is no minimum bid on most items. Our clients do reserve the right NOT to sell an item if they choose, though this practice is rare. For items which do have a minimum or reserve price at Auction, the auctioneers will list a minimum. If a reserve has been placed on an item and the minimum price has note been met it will be noted.

How do I find out how many miles are on a vehicle?
Generally it is posted in the auction listing but on the rare occasion that it is not, please attend one of the preview times to view for yourself. Preview times are usually posted in the auction listing as well.

Can I pay for my items when I'm finished bidding, or must I wait until the auction is over?
Please wait until you receive your emailed invoice before sending payment. If you do not receive an invoice within 24 hours of an auction closing, please contact us to verify your email address.

Can I have titles made out to someone other than myself?
Yes, but please provide title name and address when registering at a Live Auction, if different from the address on your drivers license. Otherwise, it will be filled out in the name and sent to the address with which you registered.

Do you allow items to be purchased for resell?
Yes, all auction items are eligible for resell. However, you will be charged sales tax unless you provide a valid Sales Tax ID when registering. For bidders with Sales Tax IDs outside the State of Minnesota, a copy must be provided and kept on file.
